Anthropologie Craft Classes

Has anyone heard about craft classes being held at Anthropologie? Rumors are spreading like wild fire about the mysterious opportunity to attend a craft class at Anthropologie. I've scoured the shop's website for more information, but there's no evidence on the website. Alas, this is the only thing I could find about the craft classesOne of my favorite bloggers, Decor8, blogged about them here.

Please leave me a comment if you have the scoop on these craft classes!

Sooo, I posted a comment about this on the decor8 blog (which I have never seen before and I love!).

I work for Anthro and I will see what I can find out. I doubt it will be at every store. I know I would even go to these art classes!

At our store our Art Director is way too busy to teach any classes.

Chelsey, you gained a billion points in my book with your blog advertising ideas the other day, but the fact that you might just solve this Anthro mystery gives a gazillion points in my book! May I be your groupie?

What I've found out:
Here's the scoop:

So, the craft classes are TRUE. They were so small and unadvertised that even the employees of my store did not know there was a "Create your Own Ornament" class at the downtown Portland store in December (the stores are about 20 minutes apart).

You will need to sign up for the Anthro Card (not a credit card, but a customer appreciation card).

An email will be sent out to you if there is a class. Anthro flew in one of the hardware designers and one of the clothing designers to the Portland store for the class. I guess it was a great class. I'm so sad our store didn't even here about it...

I am so in on the next one! Feel free to ask your local Anthro store to make sure there isn't one coming up soon!

Yay! I have a groupie now!
